The **Sand Framework** is a lightweight, multi-database, multi-platform object-relational mapping and security framework.

[[[@G
Sand provides out of-the-box extensible support for various ralational database management systems such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Sand implementations are available for Java, .NET, and PHP.
]]]

Sand allows straight-forward implementation of entity classes. Objects from various sources will automatically interact.

Implementations for different environments will integrate and share resources.

[[[@G
Sand comes with locking, caching, access control and logging, installation and configuration utilities. It is easy to learn and handle, open source and expandable.
And, of course, it's cool.
